Swiss Accordion
Aline is also a Swiss accordion player, having begun her musical journey at the age of nine at the Musikschule Köniz (CH), where she learned accordion with Daniel Marti. She performed with him in traditional Stubete (folk pub sessions) in Switzerland before moving to the UK to pursue her cello studies at the Guildhall School of music and Drama. These early experiences sparked a lasting fascination with traditional folk music, and continue to inform her artistic voice.
Particularly interested in questioning and redefining notions of tradition, Aline seeks to break down stylistic and cultural barriers between folk, contemporary, and classical music practises.
